The Nordic countries’ largest design festival Helsinki Design Week gathers together over 150 design events around Helsinki every year. The programme consists of main events – produced by Helsinki Design Week in collaboration with its partners – as well as various productions brought together by an extensive event-planning network and an open call for programme entries.

Helsinki Design Week 2015 will be held 3.–13. September. The theme for the 2015 edition is “Time Machine” through which we will be reviewing design as a means to predict and shape the future. It focuses on future products, services and materials, as well as on utilizing design in urban development.

The event information will be updated throughout June and the entire programme for Helsinki Design Week will be published in August.

This year, in the spirit of the theme ”Time Machine”, Helsinki Design Week focuses on cities and their future. The festival and its new venues of Jätkäsaari, the National Museum and Vallisaari island send the visitor on a journey in time to the past and the future.
